Stained glass windows have decorated churches, homes and public buildings for centuries. In the United States, the revolutionary achievements of designer Louis Comfort Tiffany propelled the popularity of stained glass to new heights during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each exquisitely crafted window has been meticulously photographed to bring out its brilliance and sheer beauty. A descriptive caption on the reverse side of every card identifies the subject, its location and, if available, the date it was created.
