She describes her experiences as a medical officer in an Airforce Base and as New Zealand's first female medical superintendent of a major hospital in the 1970s. This book tells the story of the outstanding life and career of a sensitive and thoughtful woman doctor. In 1997 Margaret was awarded a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for Services to Gerontology.
