This delightful book is a story of two English dolls (one real wax and one only composite) who go off on their travels to a doll version of France. They hire a rag doll to do the housekeeping for them, and have a number of adventures. The book is illustrated in colour, with twenty-four full-page plates. Plates and text are bright and clean. The book is bound in green cloth with titles in white on the cover and spine, and an illustration (doll in maid's uniform serving a chicken) inset into the front cover. There is wear to the lower edge of spine and a crease the length of the back cover.There is some offsetting to the opening blank. The book is in good condition, The binding is tight and the text is clean and bright. Octavo, 25 cm tall, 104 pages. A rare children?s book.
