Lengthily inscribed in gold felt tip by Capsule Communicator Charlie Duke, "Commander Neil A. Armstrong Lunar Surface EVA Charlie Duke Apollo 11 CAPCOM 20 July 1969." In near fine condition. The piece measures 16 inches by 20 inches. As CAPCOM (Capsule Communicator) for Apollo 11 in 1969, Charlie Duke relayed messages between mission control and astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. In 1972, Duke would go on to join the Apollo 16 mission along with Commander John Young and Command Module Pilot Ken Mattingly, becoming the tenth and youngest person to walk the moon at the age of 36.
