David Bellamy is well known for his atmospheric watercolour paintings, which can be found in private collections around the world, and is the author of several books published by HarperCollins. Highly regarded as a teacher of art, he has a tremendous following among amateur painters, runs extremely popular courses and workshops and has produced a number of successful videos on watercolour painting.

David Bellamy's 'Wild Coast of Britain' is a celebration of the wilder and more romantic parts of the magnificently varied coastline of Britain – from the mountainous west coast of Scotland to the craggy Cornish peninsula, from the spectacular scenery of maritime Pembrokeshire to the castled shores of Northumbria.
Many of these scenes will be familiar, but here they have been painted from a fresh perspective and rare treasures have been brought to life in water-colour, oils and pastels. Also included is a chapter giving practical advice on sketching and painting, providing the aspiring artist with solutions to some of the problems encountered when painting in wild and remote locations.
David Bellamy has drawn richly from the local people he met on his travels and the text contains numerous tales of rescue, legends, wrecks and personal anecdotes. Not satisfied with just working from the shore, David also took to the waves in an endeavour to view the coast from the mariner's point of view.
David Bellamy's 'Wild Coast of Britain' captures the sheer excitement and mystery of Britain's natural coastline and will appeal to artists as well as walkers intent on finding some of the more remote coastal areas.
