The hottest new name in Power Yoga, Baron Baptiste’s book is a heady mix of high energy, body-sculpting yoga, popular psychology and diet
Baron Baptiste has written a highly inspiring power yoga and personal development book which is energetic, aerobically challenging, body-sculpting and spiritually reviving.
Baptiste's philosophy is simple: within each of us already lies our ideal body and best self. Our goal is to reveal that self by chiselling away at all the junk – the extra pounds, the emotional baggage, the fear and mental clutter that comes between us and the brilliant, authentic person we are inside.
Pay attention to the newness of every moment – live in the 'now'
• We must experience some pain if we are to grow
• Pushing beyond your comfort zone is what causes you to break through to your best self.
• Exercise your 'letting go' muscle. It is the hardest one to locate, but the one most essential to develop for inner peace.
• A breakthrough is really a breaking with. Every new pose your body accepts is breaking with former resistance; every new mental, emotional or spiritual epiphany represents a departure from the block that held you back.
Beautifully illustrated to help you follow Baptiste's 50 Power Vinyasa Yoga asanas (poses), the book also contains a cleansing diet and meditation advice.
