Many books have been written on how to design and/or build a printed circuit board. However, no one book has gone into any depth to describe how the basic raw materials that are used to make the various types of printed circuit boards, their properties, and then describe again in detail how to process the raw materials into a printed circuit card. In part one of this book, we describe how the basic raw materials are made, their electrical, mechanical and physical properties. Also some associated parts (drills, routers, anodes) are also described. In part two, we briefly describe the process of making a simple sided right board to the most complex rigid flex. From there we go into detail to describe how each of the processes used in making these boards (i.e., etching, printing, laminating, etc.) are performed.
