He takes an active part in the activities of Urdu-speaking communities of the United Kingdom and Europe, and he has a special interest in the teaching of Urdu in British schools. He is a fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain.
Mohammed Kasim Dalvi is Chair of Examinations (Urdu) for Edexcel and teaches at SOAS Language Centre.
