Dr. Leslie Portney is the Director of Graduate Programs in Physical Therapy for the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Leslie graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute, a PhD in Gerontology from Boston University, a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Medical College of Virginia, and a Certificate in Physical Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a licensed physical therapist in both New York and Massachusetts. Leslie has authored a multitude of books and has contributed to a variety of different publications including the PT—Magazine of Physical Therapy. Leslie is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and on the Task Force on Uniform Outcomes Assessment.

Dr. Mary Watkins is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Graduate Programs in Physical Therapy for the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Mary graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute and a Master of Science from Boston University. Mary is a licensed physical therapist in Massachusetts, a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Mary has authored many book chapters and contributed to a number of different publications including theJournal of Hand Therapy, the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of Occupational Rehabilitationand the Journal of Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy.
