John Newman is Advisory Editor of The Buildings of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales series and teaches the history of architecture at the Courtauld Institute of Art.
He is the author of the recent Buildings of Wales volume on Glamorgan, andof West Kent and the Weald, North East and East Kent and co-author of Dorset, in the Buildings of England series.
