Since the publication of the first edition in 1966, "Eye and brain" has established itself as an important introduction to the basic phenomena of visual perception. Although successive editions have incorporated new discoveries and ideas, this edition has been completely revised and updated, with the addition of more than 30 illustrations. The phenomena of illusion continues to be a major theme in the book, which attempts to provide a comprehensive classification systems.
