This is an unusual but inspiring story of the rise of an Afro-Brazilian boy through the slums of Rio de Janeiro to become, for many Brazilians, the King of the Carnival. He has a hard life on the whole, but the music of the Samba beat fills him with joy and inspires him to take up the guitar and become a legend to his countrymen.
