Tincture from fresh plant.) al Aconite cases, mental distress, ess and fear are very prominent. g chill followed by fever, with MATERIA MEDICA. ABROTANUM. (Southernwood. Tincture from fresh leaves.) Marasmus, with a tuberculous heredity, or tuberculosis developed. Moist. Weakness, hectic fever, shrunken legs; eats well, but emaciates. Flabby skin. Dose: 3d potency. ACONITE. (Monkshood. Tincture from fresh plant.) In all typical Aconite cases, mental distress, anxiety, restlessness and fear are very prominent. Also the preceding chill followed by fever, with hot, dry skin. Effects of fright. Ailments originating in exposure to dry cold, or checked perspiration and draughts. In inflammation from any cause. Cases preceded by chill followed by fever; incipient coryza, stiff neck, lumbago, etc. Menstrual disorders brought on by sudden chill or exposure to dry cold. The first remedy in croup, and in all acute diseases, preceded by chill or fever. Neuralgia and rheumatism with numbness or tingling of limbs. The action of this remedy is not of long duration. It will abort many acute diseases, but if the disease progresses it is no longer useful. Dose: ix to 30th potency. ESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM. (Horse chestnut. Tincture from hulled nuts.) The action of this remedy is principally on the lower bowel. Protruding, purple, bleeding piles, or nonbleeding with backache. Feeling as though rectum were full of sticks. Liver ills associated with haemorrhoids. Dose: 3d to 6th potency. AGARICUS MUSCARIUS. (Poison mushroom. Tincture from fresh fungus....
