Eiko Ishioka, a Japanese art director and designer, is considered simultaneously commercial and avante-garde. She produced radical posters for Tokyo's streets and subways, and imaginative commercials for Japanese television. The book presents a survey of Eiko's work over the last two decades in association with the leading figures of Japanese art, film, choreography, theatre, advertising, music and industry.
