Cross Cultural Psychology is growing in importance in the teaching of psychology--encouraging a less ethnocentric discipline. DABIE NABUZOKA is Principal Lecturer in Psychology at Leeds Metropolitan University and a Chartered Psychologist. Research interests include cultural influences on child development and the social functioning of children with learning disabilities. He is co-author (with Janet Empson) of Atypical Child Development in Context (Palgrave) and Children with Learning Disabilities: Social Functioning and Adjustment (Blackwell).
JANET M. EMPSON is Principal Lecturer and former Head of Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University, a Chartered Psychologist and full member of the Health Division of the British Psychological Society. Her specialist teaching area is developmental psychology with particular interest in child well-being. She is co-author (with Dabie Nabuzoka) of Atypical Child Development in Context (Palgrave).
