The essence of measurement in video is to make sure that all the parts fit. In other words, making sure the picture fits the system, or conversely, the system can handle the picture.
An Introduction to Video Measurement sets out in clear and simple terms, with many photographs and line drawings, the answers to the question "What do we measure in video and why?" A section at the beginning is devoted to the principles of electronic signals, ending with a description of the whole video system: from camera set up, and studio timing to videotape editing. With an Introduction to Video Measurement, a broad knowledge of the whole video system will be gained.
