Excerpt from The Day of Small Things, the Precursor and the Cause of the Day of Great Things, and Never Despised by the Wise and the Good: A Sermon, Preached in "the Church of the Covenanters," in the City of Cincinnati
I. The day of small things usually precedes, according to an evident and indispensable law of God, the day of great things.
II. Men, and even Christian men, are too prone to despise the day of small things.
III. Despising the day of small things is highly injurious to those who are addicted to such folly, and exceedingly ofensivo unto God.
