Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book is an extract from the Book of Psalms and Hymns used in Dutch Reformed Churches in North America. It includes the text of 150 Psalms as well as select Hymns bound in a single volume to be read in place of other Psalters. Hymns were chosen and arranged by the Synod of the Reformed Dutch Church of North America in 1788. The text of the Psalms used was drawn from the translation by Brady and Tate, Watts, and the Book of Psalms used by the Dutch Church in New York City. Alterations were made by the Synod to ensure uniformity of English language phrasing across all three sources. The author intended for this book to be made available to all congregations under the oversight of their Synod, and it was likely a welcome resource for Dutch Reformed community members.
