Brody examines two components of public relations practice: development of the public relations program and production of materials. He describes a viable program as consisting of audience analysis and selection of appropriate channels of communication. Next, he examines the production of materials to be distributed through those channels--both the message itself and the process through which they are conveyed, whether it be print or audio-visual.
