Each author describes the events leading to the battle, the strategies of both sides, the composition of the armed forces involved, the details of the campaign, and the battlefield today. Some volumes include a section for wargaming the campaign. The volumes include detailed color maps, tables of the order of battle, a chronology, a list of further reading, and copious period photographs. Praeger's Illustrated Military History Series, which will comprise a number of such sets as this, will be a useful resource for college students and all interested in military history.
