She has also been on the faculty of the State University College at Buffalo. She is the author of a number of books on reading and writing skills for developmental students, including The Writer’s Selections, Fifth Edition (2008), Academic Reading, Sixth Edition (2007), Efficient and Flexible Reading, Eighth Edition (2008), Active Reading Skills, Second Edition (2008), and Reading Across the Disciplines: College Reading And Beyond, Third Edition (2007), as well as a composition reader, Seeing the Pattern: Readings for Successful Writing (Bedford/St. Martin’s, 2006).
