This is the autobiography of Dave Davies, the co-founder with his brother Ray of the band, the Kinks. The book tells the inside story of the 1960s rock explosion, and the volatile relationship with Ray that has produced both torment and such hits as "You Really Got Me", "All Day and All of the Night", "Death of a Clown" and "Lola". "Kink" also reveals the friendships and rivalries with the Stones, the Who, Chrissie Hynde and the Beatles, and of Dave's strings of liaisons, which resulted in children, paternity suits, and a host of sexual contradictions.
