His work includes the Talking Heads television series and the stage plays Forty Years On, The Lady in the Van, A Question of Attribution, and The Madness of King George III, which was made into a major motion picture. His play The History Boys won six Tony Awards, including best play, in 2006. His other books include the critically acclaimed collected writings Untold Stories and Writing Home, Smut (short stories), The Uncommon Reader (a novella), and many more.
