Elizabeth Marshall Thomas is author of seven books, fiction and non-fiction—among them The Hidden Life of Dogs, The Harmless People, and Reindeer Moon. She has written for The New Yorker, National Geographic, and The Atlantic Monthly, and lives in Peterborough, New Hampshire.
