L'autore:
HILARY MANTEL was born in Derbyshire. She was educated at a convent and later studied law. After ten years abroad in Africa and the Middle East, she returned to Britain in 1985 to make a career as a writer. Her novel Beyond Black was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize 2005, and she was awarded the CBE in June 2006. Her novel, Wolf Hall, won the 2009 Man Booker Prize, and her most recent novel, Bring Up the Bodies, won the 2012 Man Booker Prize.
