Christopher A. Kearney received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1990 from the State University of New York at Albany. He completed his internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center prior to accepting an academic position at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Kearney is currently a Professor of Psychology at UNLV and Director of the UNLV Child School Refusal and Anxiety Disorders Clinic. He has received several university awards for teaching and research and has published several books and dozens of journal articles regarding youths with anxiety disorders and school refusal behavior. He is currently a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychology, Behavior Therapy, Journal of Psychopathology and Behavioral Assessment, and Journal of Gambling Studies.
