Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. 1st Edition. First edition, stated first printing. The "first total history of the black baseball player". Hardcover with dust jacket (DJ). DJ condition is G, book condition is VG-. DJ has moderate surface scratching and scuffing; a number of dings on front of DJ; rips in DJ at corners at back-top edge; small rips along edges; DJ spine sunned; light parts of DJ toned; bumping with small rips and chips on top/bottom of spine. Hardcover board corners bumped with fabric beginning to fray; top/bottom of spine moderately bumped; moderate bumping and rubbing along bottom edges; damp stain on fabric on back board; lettering on spine rubbing. Spine has a bit of a foreward lean to it. Front-bottom hinge a little bit tender (no damage or ripping or splitting, and overall feels robust), all other hinges tight. Bit of widening in the gutters in first few pages, otherwise, binding sound. Page edges lightly toned. A few pages have small, minor blemish marks (e.g., stray pen line mark). Otherwise, pages clean and clear of writing, markings, highlighting. In the first ~25 pages, a few pages have some minor bumping on bottom edge near spine. Codice articolo ABE-1730830313084
