Andy isn't thrilled when his sometimes friend, newspaper owner Vince, asks him to represent his star reporter who is being used as a mouthpiece by a brutal serial killer. Andy finds Daniel cocky and isn't thrilled with having to be his babysitter. But things take a turn for the worse when Daniel is found unconscious in a park- next to the body of the killer's latest victim. Daniel claims the killer called him and he went to the park to stop the murder, but the evidence doesn't add up. Is Daniel really the brutal serial killer or is he being framed? And if he is the serial killer, why would he have used his own newspaper to send out his messages? As Andy plunges reluctantly into the case, with the help of his girlfriend Laurie, he learns more about Daniel's shady background and begins to wonder what the truth really is.
