Lilian Tone is a curator and art writer, her published work includes articles, interviews and essays to exhibition catalogues and other publications. She is a curator in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art.

Kate McCrickard is an artist, curator and writer. A leading Kentridge expert, she was formerly Director of David Krut Projects in New York.

William Kentridge (b. 1955) is South Africa's most well-known living artist. He has had solo exhibitions across the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; the New Museum, New York; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth; Norton Museum of Art, Florida; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Vancouver Art Gallery; Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Melbourne; Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Contemporary Art Centre of Málaga, Spain; Jeu de Paume, Paris; Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels; and the Albertina Museum in Vienna . Kentridge has been the recipient of numerous prizes including the Kaiserring Prize (2003), the Carnegie Prize, the Carnegie International (2000), Standard Bank Young Artist Award (1987) and the Red Ribbon Award for Short Fiction (1982). He lives and works in Johannesburg.
