The dust jacket is crisp and clean, with some beginning toning, especially to the front cover. "His was a world of mountains and woodlands and the vast, timeless reach of the western landscape. If a country as a limitless as this can ever be said to have posed for its portrait, certainly the photographer behind the camera was Ansel Adams." Due to the extreme weight of this book, postage will have to be determined at time of ordering. "Ansel Easton Adams (February 20, 1902 April 22, 1984) was an American photographer and environmentalist. His black and white landscape photographs of the American West, especially Yosemite National Park, have been widely reproduced on calendars, posters, books, and the internet. Adams and Fred Archer developed the Zone System as a way to determine proper exposure and adjust the contrast of the final print. The resulting clarity and depth characterized his photographs.
