The book was originally published in this format in 1961, and reprinted in 1963 and 1968 before this printing, and originally in hardcover in 1951. Front cover drawing of Ezra Pound by Wyndham Lewis. ***Very good in illustrated card covers. Edges of wrappers just slightly rubbed and creased, commensurate with age and handling. No reading creases to the spine. Internally near fine with no inscriptions. Clean pages. No foxing. Spine tight. ***183mm x125mm. 206 pages. ***'This is an extension of the argument followed by the author in his essay on "How to Read", which is not only as useful, as necessary as ever, but it has become, incidentally, a kind of short anthology -- for Mr. Pound not only recommends certain authors, but so far as possible proves his recommendations by quotations.'
