As a non-musician I find this book really easy to follow as each session is adaptable to meet the needs of the differing age groups. It is not difficult, either, to work the book around themes or current events. This is the first time I have felt confident teaching music in nursery. In my opinion this book will be invaluable to both musical and non-musical staff who work with pre-school/nursery children. Although I have been a reception teacher for over eleven years, I have always felt rather inadequate in my teaching of music. I was therefore delighted when asked to trial Ann Bryant's scheme of work for the foundation stage.
