Janine Iannelli is a 23 year old American college student whom discovered her love of traveling after a four week study abroad course to Italy. Shortly after, she traveled to Australia to finish her degree in Journalism. This experience created an urge to gain and spread knowledge of other countries and cultures. She thought it most important to educate young children, and so she created the series Little James Goes to Big Places. The books are educational, fantasy and adventure and a way to spark excitement about learning in young children.
