Forget what you know about the North Pole. Beneath the façade of peppermints and ornaments lives the underbelly of a dark secret, which is exposed when a beautiful, young elf is found murdered on Christmas Eve morning. When Ol’ Saint Nick himself knocks on his door, Pole private investigator Lionel Treebottom is thrown stockings first into the grizzled case, which threatens to take more than his blood, sweat, and tears. While the elves of The Pole gear up for the big night, Lionel finds himself uncovering more than just a simple murder. Lies, betrayal, and dark secrets hide around every corner- and those at the heart of it all, aren’t afraid to kill again to protect the truth of this brutal crime. A new voice in noir has burst onto the scene in Nicholas Rose’s ‘The Elf Who Never Sleeps’; perfectly merging the Christmas genre with the noir, in what will surely become a new holiday must read.
