Thomas R. Trautmann is an author who is known for his books on ancient India. He works at the University of Michigan, where he serves as the Professor Emeritus in the subjects of history and anthropology. Some of the books that he has written on ancient and colonial India are Kautilya And The Arthashastra, Aryans and British India, The Aryan Debate, India: Brief History of a Civilization, and The Madras School of Orientalism. Gurcharan Das is also a famous writer and has authored several books. He is a known commentator too.
