According to the findings in Sex On Campus: The Naked Truth About the Real Sex Lives of College Students, you don't have to be a bad student to enjoy a good spanking. After laboriously researching 30 years of college sex studies, authors Leland Elliott and Cynthia Brantley designed their own survey to provide new data on long-standing, important issues and to explore the kinkier aspects of college sexuality -- an area never before examined on a large scale.

Sex On Campus mixes serious research and awareness of sexual health issues with a sense of humor (sex is fun, after all). It also serves as a how-to guide. Thats right, how-to. In striving to make the book a college student's Kama Sutra, Mr. Elliott and Ms. Brantley provide straightforward, candid advice on how to be ... well ... good in bed. Really good in bed. Anyone who reads this book may consider him/herself as coming away with a B.A. in sex.

L'autore:
Leland Elliott is a writer and has worked in publishing since 1992. He attended Dartmouth College, where he was an English and Film major, and where he also had and enjoyed sex. He now lives in New York City, where he has found that being the author of this book is both a curse and a blessing when it comes to meeting women. He continues to write fiction and screenplays, although not all of them are about sex.

Cynthia Brantley is a writer who is currently getting her M.A. in Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. Cynthia attended Tulane University as an undergraduate, where she also had and enjoyed sex. She currently lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and thus has been unable to fully experience the repercussions, both good and bad, that authoring a sex book can do for one's social life.

Is anybody talking to each other out there or are they learning about each other by watching relationships on Baywatch and Melrose Place? No wonder people are so confused.
MEETING YOUR MATCH

Ah, The College Experience

You can study whatever you want to, and use athletic facilities for free, and commiserate with others about how bad the food is, but with all these young, curious, diverse people around -- all of whom now have the trivialities of high school behind them -- you are probably thinking, "What a great opportunity to get laid!" And you know what? It is. It is also a great opportunity to get involved in a mature relationship and, dare we say, even to fall in love. It is unlikely that you will ever be around so many people in your immediate age group again. For many people, college is the first chance to explore their sexuality openly, to experiment freely without the burdens of parents, curfews, and easily assigned labels.

You Sexy Thing, You

Peacocks have it easy. They just show their plumes and they're marvelous to look at and they drive each other crazy. People are a little more sophisticated (at least we would like to think so) and, while having great hair, a great body and perfect teeth never hurts, there are other things you should be aware of, too. Who you are is very important. So let's cut through some popular misconceptions.

Myth: Men are dogs who only want sex and aren't interested in relationships.
Reality: Men are dogs who definitely do want sex, but it isn't the only thing they want. They are also interested in relationships. They too have feelings, although a number have been socialized to believe that they should hide them. Deep down everyone wants someone they can cuddle with and laugh with, someone they can hold hands with. Gosh, it really is true. Most men want someone they can depend on and who they can share their feelings with, someone who they want to spend the rest of their lives with, just as much as any woman does.

Myth: Men are only interested in beautiful women.
Reality: Well, men do put a higher value on the physical attractiveness of their mate than women do. But men will go to much more extreme lengths to woo a girl they really "like" than one they find simply gorgeous.

Myth: Women aren't as horny as men.
Reality: Women are subject to the same urges and desires as men and they can be every bit as horny as men are.

Myth: Pretty girls only date handsome boys (or old guys with money).
Reality: Complete nonsense. Claudia Schiffer dates aging, cheesy, "illusionist" David Copperfield. Rachel Hunter is married to Rod Stewart, who kind of resembles a rooster and is old enough to be her father. Christie Brinkley married Billy Joel. Voluptuous former Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith married an 86 year old mummy ... well, maybe that's not the best example considering his net worth. The point is that pretty girls are interested in a lot more than having a nice ornament on their arm in the form of a football stud or Calvin Klein model. A guy who is smart, shy, short, or otherwise deviates from the Matthew McConnaghey mold is not out of the running (not to say the McConnaghey isn't smart, but you get the point). Hint: a guy who can make a girl laugh already has a one-up on the competition despite his looks.

Myth: You must be in perfect shape to be attractive.
Reality: Oh, come on. Just look around. If that were true, the human species would have disappeared a long time ago. But people still fall for this myth, particularly women. Then again, thanks to the cosmetic industry, magazines, television, and movies, there is a lot more pressure on women to have buns of steel and be able to fill a dress with the perfect amount of curves and cleavage. Remember, a girl who can make a guy laugh and feel comfortable is already ahead of the competition, even if she hasn't touched her Ab-Roller in months.
