Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Near Fine. First Edition, First Printing. EX-LIB. Text/Near New. DJ/NF; under library mylar. Last volume in a trilogy --- sequel to Raising a Mother Isn't Easy, and Karen's Sister. We first met our young narrator Karen when she was eleven. At that time she was actively on the look out for a suitable mate for her adoptive mother (single-single, like never been married). For, as Karen told us, she's been practically taking care of Mom since her arrival from Korean at the tender age of four and a half, and truly needed help in getting better organized (it was Mom, after all, who always said having Karen around gave her life order). Now that Karen's family of three (a new adopted sister also from Korea) have been swelled by a step-father and three step-siblings, orderliness is foreign. For a school project Karen analyzes her home for a "Time Efficiency Study" targeting, as it turns out, primarily her new, older, full-fledged teenage adoptive-step-sister. Funny and reflective as ever, Karen learns a lot and so do we. In real life the author has six adopted children (four from Korea), and two dogs and seven cats, engaged in full time employment, and writes after hours . testimony of expertise in time management. One hopes Elisabet McHugh will encourage Karen to write again. Fine Copy. Codice articolo 002670
