Adam Mornement is a writer specializing in contemporary architecture and architectural history. He is a former deputy editor of World Architecture, and a regular contributor to the Times Magazine and Condé Nast Traveller, among other newspapers and magazines. His books include Corrugated Iron - Building on the Frontier (Frances Lincoln, 2007) and Treehouses (Frances Lincoln, 2005). He has also written Extensions (Laurence King, 2007) and Infill: New Houses for Urban Sites (Laurence King, 2009).

Within a few years engineers were using corrugated iron to put up vast warehouses and elegant railway stations with cavernous roofs. By the late-1840s entrepreneurial manufacturers were sending out self build cottages for gold prospectors in California, New South Wales and beyond. Whole townships complete with churches, sports pavilions, hotels and meeting halls were soon available from catalogues, to be flat-packed and sent around the world." Book and unclipped dust jacket, are in excellent condition. The jacket is covered with removeable clear plastic for protection. There are no inscriptions and all contents are tight and clean.
