Dr Bryan Fanning is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Applied Social Science, University College Dublin. He has written extensively on social policy and social change in modern Ireland. He wrote Immigration and Social Change in the Republic of Ireland. The Quest for Modern Ireland: The Battle of Ideas 1912-1986 was published by Irish Academic Press in 2008.
