Black and white illustrated, woodcuts, frontispiece and the black-and-white illustrations - there are four small woodcuts set as the headings to the stories and five full-page woodcuts - within the text have been created by Lionel Lindsay. Orange coloured boards with white coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Lionel Lindsay, with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A reproduction of the Australian Limited-Edition Society book of 1939, there has been included six extra poems about swagmen for added interest by the publishers. Rubbing to the book corners and softening and rubbing of the back strip edges stop fading of the back strip and to the top edge of the book and left hand edge of the front panel. Offset tanning to the end pages and age toning of the pages. Creasing of the dustwrapper edges and rubbing of the panels. There has been fading of the back strip â" with complete loss of the white coloured titles. Fading to the edges of the rear panel.
