Where trade in goods is constrained by the imposition of import tariffs, the trade in services is influenced by regulation and competition policy in the importing country. A dozen papers, the result of a three-year joint project between the Australian Productivity Commission and the Australian National U., consider the regulation of services and its links with market access, including trade liberalization and changes in domestic market structure. Most of the chapters were first presented in a workshop on the topic that was held at the university in October 2002. Distributed in the US by ISBS.
