Part of a ten-volume encyclopedia, this reference series is designed to introduce young people to the world of the Bible—the people, the history, the beliefs, the backgrounds—and explains why the Bible continues to inspire people today. This fifth book in the series tells the story of how the message of Jesus spread throughout the known world of the first century AD. It sets the events of these times into the context of the Bible.
