Ben Richards was born in 1964, and lives in London. His first novel, THROWING THE HOUSE OUT OF THE WINDOW, won the Texaco/Eastside award for first-time novelists in 1994. He has taught Development Studies at the University of Birmingham and at University College, London, where he specialises in Latin America. As well as writing novels, Ben Richards has contributed short stories and articles to a number of magazines and anthologies.
