Das Buch The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring ist 2006 im Alfred Music Publishing Verlag erschienen. Es stellt mit seinen bekannten musikalischen Themen aus Peter Jacksons Meisterwerk, dem ersten Teil der Herr der Ringe-Saga Die Gefährten ein Muss für jeden Fan der Trilogie und seiner Musik dar. Der Umschlag ist mit dem gleichen, schönen Cover-Bild versehen wie die DVD. Im Inneren findet man neben den Musikstücken sieben wunderschöne, stimmungsvolle Farbbilder in mindestens Din A4 Größe in bester Qualität mit Szenen aus dem Film. Inhalt: Howard Shore hat die Musik zum Film Der Herr der Ringe komponiert. In diesem Notenbuch hat er die Besetzung für Klavierstimme, Gesangsstimme und Gitarrenakkorde arrangiert. Es sind die musikalischen Themen aus dem erstem Teil der Kino-Trilogie Herr der Ringe Die Gefährten mit folgenden sechs Titeln zu finden: In Dreams , The Prophecy , Aniron , Lament for Gandalf , Many Meetings und May it Be . Da in der Klavierstimme auch die Melodie enthalten ist, kann man es nicht nur als Begleitung für die Gesangsstimme nutzen, sondern auch alleine die unglaublichen Stücke nachspielen. Es macht Spaß, die Filmmusik der großen Orchester als Amateur alleine musizieren zu können; und zwar mit 100% Wiedererkennungswert.
