Don and Barbara Laine have written about and traveled extensively throughout the Rocky Mountains and the Southwest. They are the authors of Frommer's guides to Utah, Colorado, and Montana and Wyoming, as well as Frommer's Zion & Bryce Canyon National Parks, Frommer's Yosemite & Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks, and Frommer's Rocky Mountain National Park; and are contributing authors to Frommer's Texas.
 
Jack Olson, a longtime resident of Denver, wanders the Rockies and the entire country as a freelance photographer and writer. He writes travel articles for AAA magazines and his photos may be seen in such publications as Backpacker, Audubon, Sierra, and National Geographic Books.
 
Eric Peterson is a Denver-based freelance writer who has authored Frommer's Montana & Wyoming and Frommer's Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks; and contributed to Frommer's Texas, Frommer's Yosemite & Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Parks, and Frommer's Colorado. He also writes for several Colorado-based business and entertainment periodicals, makes a mean chicken chile, and takes as many weekend treks into the Rockies as possible.
 
A California native, Shane Christensen has written travel guides throughout the American Southwest, as well as books covering destinations in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He is coauthor of Frommer's Argentina & Chile. Shane is also a Foreign Service Officer and currently works as Special Assistant to Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan.
