Descrizione libro Original Cloth. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. Brofman, Mel (illustratore). 1st Edition. First US edition. A Doctor Palfrey thriller. Originally published in the UK by John Long in 1947 and then in a revised edition in paperback by Arrow in 1962. This is the first hardcover publication of the revised edition. The boards have a patch of discolouration to the bottom right corner of the front panel but are otherwise unmarked. Extensive yellow label residue to the front endpapers so this is probably an ex-library copy. No stamps or other marks other than some more label residue to the rear free endpaper. Crease to the top corner of one page and a small brown mark affecting a few pages - possibly a burn. Slight wrinkling to the bottom corners of the last few pages. There is an odour to the book - probably from a smoker's home - but the pages otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has a three inch long strip missing from the top corner of the front flap and this is a fairly ragged tear. The jacket is otherwise in very good condition. Jacket design by Mel Brofman.
