But still, it is a fun look at the great movie chapterplays. Like "Days," "Cliffhanger" is a pictorial book. The author presents a treasure trove of production stills, studio portraits, and some behind-the-scene photos. I can remember in my youth spending hours pouring over the sights of a Batman, Superman, and the Green Hornet from a different generation. I was also enthralled by the pictures of high-flying stunt men in the midst of exciting action. All the while, Barbour's gives each chapter an authoritative overview of the best and mediocre of serials.
