Jo Ann Boydston is Director of the Center for Dewey Studies, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and edi­tor of the five-volume Early Works of John Dewey, 1882–1898.

Kathleen Pou­los, a staff assistant at the Center, has worked extensively with Dewey materials since 1963.
