Recensione:
Praise for ACTION!
“As Sam Goldwyn would put it, I found Action! unputdownable. Robert Cort’s novel is entertaining and revealing, written with the zing of a savvy insider.” -Christopher Buckley
“I grew up in this world. I recognize the family. I recognize the industry. These were the ambitions that we all shared and achieved—or not. I enjoyed Action! thoroughly and completely. The only thing wrong with Robert Cort’s novel is that it’s too short.” -Richard Dreyfuss
“With his gift for good old-fashioned storytelling, Robert Cort has written a great novel you can’t put down. Kirk Douglas once said that you tell more of the truth in fiction than in an autobiography. And that’s just what Cort, a movie producer, has done, with all the Hollywood giants playing themselves. Robert Cort has done for the Movie Age what E. L. Doctorow did for the Jazz Age. He mixes real people and fictional characters, mixes memoir (he is present on every page) and novel, mixes gossip and history. It’s a great mix, like popcorn and the movies—and he didn’t hold the butter.” -Lesley Stahl
