Re/Constructing Elementary Science cerca di migliorare il modo in cui la scienza viene insegnata nella scuola elementare. Ci sono tre contraddizioni principali che rendono difficile per insegnanti e studenti impegnarsi in attività signitive da cui derivano le comprensioni.
